At what kinds of speeds? I've tried 5Ghz before now; Still 7.8.

After some googlage; 2500K at 5.4Ghz apparently hit it, SR2 with a couple of Quads at 5Ghz also apparently got it, I'd need to push about 7.5 to be able to achieve it on this, then.

I'd be very curious to see how it calculates this score, I'm wondering if it doesn't look at CPU name rather than actual performance. Apparently there's i7 970's that only score 7.7( 4.4Ghz, the one I saw), There's no way in all heaven my little FX8120 can touch one of those in reality.

My 2700K hit 7.9 at about 5.2/5.3 GHz, so it doesn't rely on 8 physical threads. It probably takes a lower frequency with 8 physical cores though, I haven't got an octo-core to test that.

I don't have a good octo-core. I've tried. Still 7.8.

Was a long time ago but I'm pretty sure I read it in an interview with one of the developers.

Maybe that was enough to make the hyperthreaded 'cores' fast enough to raise the score.

WHAT!? LOL, I guess I should upgrade my graphics. -_-
I'd retest to be sure, Although it might be to do with the CPU. I've found that even though Nvidia recommend a 570 for Arkham City with everything at it's highest, I can play it full detail with 30-60 fps if I overclock my CPU by a GHz.

Faster SATA controller maybe? Due to the newer technology you've upgraded to. That would be my guess.

Pretty sure I got about 7.5 for graphics with my old 9800GTX+'s in SLI

Edit: just re ran my assessment as I thought 7.1 was a bit low for a 560TI. Went up to 7.9.
