Watching the video makes me yearn just to have that software you're running so I can play old games again without digging out all the cart consoles lol
Nicely done

This might do the trick but having not messed about with stuff like that in XP, I can't really confirm either way.

I just wanted to share my latest accessory to the R-Kaid-6 system, the walnut gamepad.
It has the shape of an NES controller, but the button layout is more or less based on the SNES system. I used a cheap USB SNES replica controller for this project. Walnut and MDF, as usual ![]() ![]() This is the cheap PCB I used ![]() The D-pad cutting was very consuming ... had to be precise![]() ![]() ![]() Inside after some cutting, adding and drilling ![]() Decoration time. Stencils and stain painting... ![]() ![]() ![]() Some final soldering. Spiral cable ofcourse ![]() ![]() 4 pin DIN connection for the R-Kaid-6 ![]() Wish I had smaller hands sometimes, those tiny walnut buttons took hours to make ![]() Well, here´s the final product. Hope you´ll like it! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice one.
However, I guess it's a matter of form over function - or, don't you think that those rather sharp corners would disturb or even hurt your hands and fingers during long gaming sessions? I think it would be better if the corners were rounded off.

Love the NES style pad. I like how it's format is in the SNES style though.
Although aren't you worred that the shoulder buttons a little too round therefore making them hard to hit during fierce gameplay. That's why manufacturers normally make them an oval/rectangular shape or a trigger.
