So Dell sell you a laptop and a Windows licence. You then download a free OS to replace the one that you just spent money on ?

Nice! I'm happy for ubuntu being pushed that way. I think Ubuntu is finally getting to the point where it can be pushed into mainstream.

Junk. A developer would have to be a masochist to find working on a 1366x768 display appealing.
And as others have said, what's the point in preinstalling Ubuntu as some kind of developer-friendly effort? It's not as though that's hard to do for even an end-user these days, nevermind a developer.
