Super Monday Night Combat
Has anyone given this a try?
I was mostly uninterested when I first saw it on steam but thought I could leave it dling and give it a go at some point. Have to say so far I am very impressed. The game is free to play in the same way that league of legends is free to play. There are always some free characters you can play with but they are rotating. If you want to unlock one permanently you have to pay with money or earned coins. If you haven't played it before it is kind of like a cross between DOTA style games (MOBA) and team deathmatch FPS. I haven't played the original MNC so I don't know how it compares. Give it a whirl http://store.steampowered.com/app/104700/ |

I was just thinking about SMNC, and that i've not managed to get into a game yet. I own MNC and that's ok.
Do you have any issues getting into games? Thanks for the info

I did give this a brief go, though the game I joined had stacked teams and I didn't really enjoy the class I was playing. I will revisit this when I have some free time, because it could be really cool.

I've never had issues getting into games, normally takes about 2 minutes though it can take up to five. I haven't had to open ports to get it working.
Stacked team can be very annoying. Apparently pre-made teams can only be matched against other pre-made teams +/- 1 player and the rest are filled with solo players. I have seen a few people complaining about this on the official forums so am hopeful it will get fixed. I think it should be the first thing they do, it really can't be that hard. As for characters, in the free rotation I would say Megabeth is the best and she is relatively easy to use. She it good and killing bots and pros, good at escaping, good for annihilator fights and fairly dangerous in close quarters. Leo is good for lane pushing and bot support. The rest I am not too sure about. Some of the characters are good but take a lot of skill, others don't. Cheston doesn't seem that great to me but hes not that bad either. The assassin can be good in the right hands. Karl, the robot, is good for suppression but not the burst damage pro he is advertised as. |
