Halchart has yet to learn the way of the Dremel
My scratch build. 6/19 Started to paint.

I posted a while ago about starting my scratch build and now I finally have some free time to start it.

here's the sketch-up design.

This is HTS-2000 an aluminum brazing rod. This is what I'm going to use to put the frame together.

Makes a good strong joint.

This is the frame with the motherboard tray in place.

With the top and side panels in place.

I used 1/8" aluminum plate for panels and a few different sized angle aluminum for the frame. I'm just waiting for the screws i ordered to come arrive and i still have to place an order with mnpctech.com

Sorry about the late update I started right before I took the wife and kids out on vacation. But I have gotten a little more done.

got my socket caps and all my panels cut and mounted.

and cut the hole for the optical drive.
I get paid tomorrow so I will be ordering fan grills and a few other things. Thanks for looking.

I think, that you are mistaken. I can defend the position. Write to me in PM, we will talk.

I don't know what I am mistaken about. But I cant send any PM's yet.

I also have a little update I just finished a circuit for lighting my case. It will alternate between two different strings of LEDs they fade in and out. Once i get a moment to get a vid I will post it. I also ordered my fans and a couple of MNPCTechs Nautilus Fan Grills.

Got home from work today and had a couple packages waiting for me.

Xigmatech fans.

A couple MNPCTech Nautilus fan grills. These thing look way better in person.

So a little cutting and.

I love the way these grills look. Also I had done the back a few days ago.

The PSU in there is an old one just making sure it fits. But I think I'm gonna need a grill of some sort for the rear fan.

@bluc thanks for the comments.

@mnpctech thanks but I realized when I placed my order I forgot to add some modders mesh so expect another order soon

@Mosquito thanks it's cool to see more Minnesotans in here.

Right now It's on hold till the heat comes down a bit. It's way to hot in my garage right now to work but the temps are supposed to drop next week.

lol... Yeah it was a pretty weak winter. Too bad I didn't have the funds then.

Little update.

This is the fading circuit I'm using for some accent lighting in my case. I'll probably change to an alternating white and blue LEDs. Right now I plan to place some under the mobo tray and the mobo itself.

Started painting a little.

MNPCTech grooved case feet. (taken from an old mod and painted)

And the Overkill grills. Both were painted with Dupli-color metalcast paint so they look alot like they've been anodized. I got a new PSU on order and already got my sleeve waiting for it to arrive.

They turned out Saweet! .......just an fyi: If you haven't noticed, Metalcast is very brittle and chips easily.... I use Plastikote "Engine Enamel" Clear coat whenever I paint the machined aluminum parts..

Agreed with Bill, the plastikote is good stuff. I use it on cast iron (hand plane restorations) and it works great.

This paint is looking good, keep up the good work
