Galaxy S2 to Apple Adapter
Hi all,

My local gym has the iphone docks so you can watch video's etc on the screens when running.

Does anyone know if this can be done with a Galaxy S2 with adapter?

Please help a fellow bit-techer avoid having to watch Paris Hilton while running.

Not sure whether such a thing exists, but I recommend picking up one of these so that you can gouge your eyes out in style next time that socialite turd graces the screen.

Short answer: I doubt it.

The universal dock connector for iThingies does more than just supply power for the device or act as a USB slave port... There's all sorts of audio & video out connections wired up in there, too - hence, video out capabilities. I don't know if the SGSII has the capability to output video over its USB port; a few phones did have this capability, but I highly doubt it would be as simple as just wiring up the necessary pins to a hacked-up universal dock connector...

I have no idea how you'd go about doing this, so I agree with shirty: get yourself a nice spoon and prepare to gouge your eyes out

Or a pair of Vuzix glasses (or similar) and just hope the lack of being able to see your environment doesn't cause you to fall over on the treadmill!

The S2 has an MHL port so yes it does video over usb/hdmi
