Best software (paid or not) for watching Blue Rays

As above, I have PowerDVD9 (with driver) for watching blue rays however i dont seem to be able to use it to watch official BR's, it works with rewritten blue rays.

The message which comes up says "buy PowerDVD12" for £45.

I'm happy to buy software for watching blue rays I just really need to know which player is considered "best" (paid for or not).

Many thanks as always

I use PowerDVD 11. Apparently 12 has an audio bug that causes lag. Maybe they've fixed it already.

And that plays Blu rays ok? Also i get an error that says "doesn't support mouse and keyboard", any ideas what that might be?

I think the new VLC supports blue ray playback.

Some discs don't support mouse + keyboard. I've only had that message a couple of times.

Yup, plays them fine.

I haven't tried VLC for bluray but PowerDVD supports 3d bluray and if VLC doesn't then I won't be using it for most of my blurays.

The software available needs constant updates, and they usually just release a new version than offering the updates for the security decoding. I had terrible hassle with app's when i bought the starwars collection.

So..

I bought a Samsung blu-ray player cheap, and that gets updates for free.

vlc and xbmc play bluray, though I believe you have to bypass the encryption

OversizeZantos has yet to learn the way of the Dremel
i used arcsofts totalmedia theater platinum, gets regularly updated, not issues with keyboard and mouse unless the disc itself doesnt work with keyboard and mouse, and when i built my pc was the only on which had full support for my cayman gpu (6950), but i have to admit i did just buy a cheaky panasonic unit which supports mkvs so i dont have to watch on my screen and can watch on my big tv instead.
