You sure they are not the same WU?

FAHControl should be showing what FAHClient is doing I though.

Morning kirk46,

For HFM you should be adding it as a v7 client and point to the IP address of the machine its on. For this to work you will need to enter details into the remote access tab of FAHControl to add your local network as allowable:

Quote:
127.0.0.1,192.168.2.0/24

The above allows access from anywhere on my internal network and localhost.

Also make sure you are using HFM that works with v7 clients.

Hi mate...

i tried connecting using the V7 option and it says server access denied multiple times in the folding rigs V7 client log.

HFM works fine with V7 as ive had it running with previous folding rigs

ive tried with and without a password also

hence why i was looking for the files to see if that would work...

thanks

Did you give permission in FAHControl on the machine that is folding for access from within your network?

On the computer FAH is running open configure on FAHControl and goto the remote access tab:

This is where you need to give your network access to the FAHClient from another machine running HFM.

If HFM is running on that machine then you may have other issues.

What have you entered?

Can you upload a picture like mine above your post?

Also what is the internal IP address of your FAH computer and the one HFM is on?

the access denied error i get show my main rigs ip address 192.168.0.3 and then a port number? ie it goes..

server access denied 192.168.0.3 53017 then 18,19,20 and so on

Hi kirk46

For this to work you may need to have all the machines running the same version of FAH V7. There is a long discussion here. Can I just check you are entering this information in the remote access tab on the remote machine and the IP address range you "allow" includes the IP address of your main machine.

Hi mate that may be right as I'm using an older V7 client on the folding rig.

Yes I even just put the main rigs ip in the allow box with no joy

Hi kirk46

Have you tried separating the IP addresses with a space instead of a comma? Have you tried restarting the remote machine after typing in the remote access information? Is there a firewall on the remote machine blocking access? Do the ports match?

Fold on.
