Thank you
![]() I have a small update for you. I've agglutinated the three plates. It doesn look perfect but for me its more than enough because there will be an aluminium sheet mounted on it. However I have to grind and polish it. ![]() On top I made a scre thread. I'm so happy that it works, one fail and the whole work was for nothing. But it works ![]() ![]() ![]() Here you can see some air pockets, next time I have to use more glue to avoid that. ![]() Thanks for reading

I have a "small" update for you
![]() I bought a hole saw, very usefull tool. ![]() works great: ![]() Filed down the metal sheet. ![]() After that, I continued with the inside fan grill for the upper side of the case. At first marking -> center punshing -> drilling ![]() At first with a 3,5mm drill and final with a 10mm one ![]() After I've drilled all holes I have to connect them. I took my jigsaw an began to cut. ![]() filed and grinded ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The metall sheet for the front inside must be bended, so this was my bending mashine ^^ : ![]() This was the result: ![]() I think: big fail ![]() Next try becomes much better. I milled a dent into the sheet. I used a Dremel and file. ![]() ![]() I was very happy with the result so I want to make the final sheet. The bending looks nice but the holes I drilled before were at a wrong positions. ![]() Next try: ![]() ![]() Finished that and make a side panel for that. assambled everything again: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope you like it

Looks great but to avoid the air poccets in the plexiglass use plexiglas cement.

Wahnsinn, ich wünschte ich könnte auch nur ansatzweise so gut mit Metall umgehen. Super Projekt bisher!

Thank you guys
![]() @saltire35: I actually dont know If I will powder coating this case. There are some reasons that prevents my doing that. I can do it on my one. I filled some parts with normal filler. I already have some cans of varnish here. But I know... powder coating would by nicer... I'm still undetermined. |

Small Update for you
![]() Maybe you allready have noticed that I aspire a clean look. So I want to hide all cables. I decided to make a 90° connector. This is how I have done this: original state: ![]() drilled some wholes and cut down the overlaying pieces: ![]() ![]() organised some flat cables, cut and crimped them: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The first cables in the connector: ![]() ![]() ![]() Cut out this piece of aluminium: ![]() and glued it on the connector by using 2K glue. need to file it down a little bit. ![]() The cables should disappear behind the aluminium plate: ![]() Besides that I bought some self made circuit boards, I will use it to make the connectors for the GPUs. ![]() ![]() At first I cutted a small sheet to have the PCB. Cutting this smells like hell ![]() ![]() ![]() I have to the crimps and soldered in some whires: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And nearly finished, just the cables are missing: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gpu connector finished on the side of the gpu. My soldering skill aren't very good, but I will make a cover for it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thats it for now

I really like what you're doing with the cables, I think it's an awesome idea! Really looking forward to seeing how this shapes up! Keep up the good work.

Thank you
![]() Lately I dont have the time to work a lot on this project, but I've done some small mods to on the hardware. I've opened the Laing D5 to change the cables: ![]() ![]() ![]() Besides that I decided to change some parts on the mainboard, it was too colorful... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ... and I cleaned the caps and removed some decals: ![]() ![]() Some more pictues: ![]() ![]() ![]()
