I came across a thread on another site (OCUK) alluding to some benefits with enabling beta work units. Now, I'm not of the beta plan, but I'm certainly going to look into it if this is the sort of "benefit" that they get periodically.

If it's as simple as this to get improved ppd on fermi+ cards, then that's got to be a good thing... right?

I'll post back wiht my results. At the moment I've been rebuilding the OS due to an SSd failure in my my Raid0 OS array.

so No overclocks in Windows, only throught he bios (4.2Ghz on CPU, stock on GTX 480's)

Am currently processing an 8054 WU on each GTX 480 GPU. Will report back when I see anything different....

Tatty, I think if you look on the official forum, there is a beta trial underway for P8057 only. This is to look at 'equalising' the points for GPU's with respect to CPU's, and using the QRB. If you go down this route (and F@H would prefer only 'beta testers' to do so), you may not receive any of these specific WU's, and you will get other beta WU's, which, by their nature, may either be duff WU's and not fold to produce any credit or may have poorly set credit levels. Just something to bear in mind ....

Hi All

I tried this last weekend but only got P8018 work units and most of those crashed. I am using client V7.1.52, do you need the new version to get the P8057 work units? I have 2 off GTX560ti, it costs a lot of electric to run them but with QRB it would be well worth it.

i didnt update my client slowlemon...

i just used the guides

at first i did get 8018 WU's then started getting 8057 WU you don't get them all the time but since then only the odd one or 2 are not the beta one...

if its crashing back off the OC on the GPU

there are some 807* ones tho which are under the beta flag i believe

but all ive had today are 8054
