So many good photos, so little brainpower to go through them all.

A couple of mine from tonight's brief star-trail session:

Startrail out-take by HarvB, on Flickr
An out-take after a car came past, although I like the wobbly rings in the red light where the LED lights have flicked on and off as it passed.

A rubbish Rallye startrail... by HarvB, on Flickr
And the end result - not great, it's a little dark and full size the car was a bit blurry thanks to a light breeze moving the tripod about. For a first effort and 0PP other than the stack I'm quite happy though (it's to go in a monthly photo comp where PP is banned, so I'm pushing the rules a bit with a stack).

I also really like the third shot, but neither the man's hands, nor his head are sharp, which is why I rate it a shade lower than the second.

Aaand now some quali shots, taken from the paddock club boxes above the grandstand. Great for viewing, pretty poor for shooting. Too much crap in the way.

I actually like all of these but especially this one. There's a lot of subtle technique in these. I've always been fascinated by the effect of panning on a moving subject. I've never had to really do it and I like it when I see it done well.

As a concert photographer, I'm always obsessed by the technique of keeping my camera absolutely still trying to capture subjects in motion, it's been a bit of an obsession of mine. This is the opposite and it breaks my brain a little.

I liked it a lot. It's especially good for US citizens since your cell phone & data works ( better coverage than most mainland states ) and you don't have to go through customs. Plus flights were cheaper than other Caribbean islands.

We rented a condo in Condado, and the beach/surf there is pretty nice (at least for body boarding). El Yunque rain forest had some really good hiking. And I'm sort of a history/military nerd so I really enjoyed the forts in Old San Juan.

The best part of the trip was this caving/climbing/repelling/zip-lining adventure tour we went on; absolutely fantastic. We were covered in mud and exhausted by the end of the day, but it was an awesome experience. I'm tempted to go back just for that. Here's their website: http://aventuraspr.com/
