maestro0428 I am proud of you. I know your wedding anniversary is extremely important but you resisted temptation. I'm glad you didn't take that drink I agree it would have been a slippery slope to go down. How many days it it now? Keep up the outstanding work and keep taking it day by day.

Update. Still going strong. Not a drop since May, I don't even know how many days it's been. I just wake up each day and no longer think about drinking. It's a good feeling. I miss it when I gaze at the market over the many isles of liquor and beer. Just one drink, or one night drinking would be so nice, I would think each time I go there. I have been downtown several times with a friend (he always get hammed) and its fine most of the time, I just drink non alcoholic beers and try to the stupid **** drunk people always say. I will be a connoisseur of sorts soon (not bs, but N/A beer)! I find myself working all hours of the day and wishing for that break from life and miss that too. My wife went out the other night (without me) and came home pissed up. Threw up for two hours that night and then again in the morning. She had a hangover for two days (she doesn't drink regularly). I definitely don't miss that. Thowing up all over, crying, pissing myself, talking dreadful nonsense, being worthless afterwards. Not for me. Thanks to those who take the time to read this thread and commenting. It just shows how cool the people are here.

I am sober exactly 180 days today.
