Mini Box - Cooler Master Elite 120 Advanced - 01/02/ 2013 - Carbon Fiber!
Welcome to my new project using the mini itx case Cooler Master Elite 120 Advanced, the first changes were to "clean" the inside of the case:
![]() ![]() Here's the video (in portuguese... ):![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The cable management is messy, but I made this "montage" only to get a sense of how the VGA and PSU would stay in the case. I started to modify the sides of the case, first place opening for installing the radiator 240: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now taking all the side which will be installed in a different way, I will show in the next ups: ![]() ![]() ![]() And now where the cut will be the VGA: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And here a test with the radiator: ![]() ![]() In future posts I will detail all the hardware used in the project. I hope you enjoyed. Now news and finishing of parts, only next year. Happy new year everyone! Last edited by Marcos_Viegas; 1st Feb 2013 at 16:57. |

They lend an air of "style" to the project, since the first time I've seen in a sound box, I wanted to buy some to test on a project, but as I needed a case "small" have not had the opportunity to test before, but I liked the result. ![]() Quote:

And for those who want news ... are below the photos.
I did the cover for VGA acrylic "fumê": ![]() ![]() ![]() But it was not good, it gave some problems when folding and ended up crooked and there was to trash... Furthermore, in case the ASUS DirectCUII was only 3mm off the case, so I decided to do instead of cover, a frame. And here are the phases, first glue the sheets, 2 and 1 aluminum acrylic "fumê": ![]() ![]() ![]() I used Scotch epoxy glue Quick-Dry. The next step was sanding 3 corners in 45º: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He took a heavy work and made a mess clueless, but the end result until it was good. Still lack the finish and make the cuts to the frame. I hope you enjoyed. |

It looks like you got a little too rough with the sanding.

Try again, maybe slow to load.

![]() I also really liked the look of the spikes, they left more stylish to the case. ![]() I'll still give the finishing with sandpaper grain smoother, the piece is "unfinished"

And who was anxious for news, first I have to say that I gave up the idea of making a cover for the VGA, because after installing I did not like the look, it was at odds with the look, so I chose to leave out, and all enveloped with adhesive 3M carbon fiber 3M™ Scotchprint® Wrap Film
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bonus: ![]() I hope you enjoyed. |

Thanks man!
Glad you enjoyed it, I tried to balance the visual, to be "clean", "stylish" and somewhat "traditional" with the colors. |
