USB Speakers

I wanted to know if i could plug USB speakers into the side of my monitor which has 2 USB slots. the jack socket is broken. my monitor has hdmi so is being used has a tv by hooking it up to my sky box. The computer isn`t connected to my monitor when its hooked up to sky box. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Should probably work for the computer audio, as the USB ports on the monitor will act like a hub, however it wouldn't output the HDMI audio and you'd need to change your default audio device in Windows. It wouldn't work for the Sky box though unfortunately.
