Slow, but steady update.
I've been designing the cooling and trying to figure it out how to fit those 2x240 radiators inside. Problem solved with right angle 90 degree PCI Express riser, with that i get GPU pointing down -> more space to radiators. All the parts are 3mm aluminium, partly welded together. I'm saving the logo on the other side by cutting only lower part of the side. That will serve as intake, to the bottom of the can i will install 200mm fan, which will push the air out. That will need a little guide to push the hot air away from the intake area. I think i may have gone a little too BIG with this kind of setup... It's getting little tight fitting the other parts. If you want to use 200 mm fan to push air in the back, the the best solution would be to use PlayStation 3 (fat) fan.

I'm not familiar with PS3 fan, will check out. Air flow direction is not yet solved. The best way, or how I think it is, is to pull cool air first to radiators -> then circulate it within case -> direct it to exhaust.

As you can see,it's made to blow in any side direction. That would be the best solution for your build. |

Why don't you cut little air slits behind the rad? Then you could suck in cool air and blow it out through the rads.

I sent the drawings for laser cut this morning, here is x-ray view of the radiator housing.
Next on to-do list is to order Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm fan and design the piece which will serve as finger protector/bottom of the case. I have to come up with some cool logo/drawing to cut to that piece. |

Look what the cat dragged in:
2 of his homies and slides for the can! ![]() Just as i thought, they fit in perfectly: There's only room for the back cover, which will be made of aluminium also. I'm going to mix paint to match the current color (Vintage red ) and paint all parts that will fit outside with it.

Little text form update:
I did some calculations and noticed that i can barely fit an mATX motherboard. That's what i'm heading for now, will see if i have to regret this later. ![]() Parts for the watercooling unit have been cut, now i'm waiting for them to arrive. I'm not much of a welder, so i'm leaving that part to my older brother. I've been searching small round TFT display, plan is to fit it in the cap. It has to be smaller that 1.2" in diameter. Things to show from it: water temps, cpu temp, clock, date, etcetc. |
