Frozen Tundra TJ07- Completed! (for now)
This is my first all out mod
Im baseing this on an old beat up tj-07 that i got for the sole purpose of modding it. Im fitting a 360rad in the front drivebays, and a 480 in the "basement" the theme will be black and white with some aluminium bits. I plan to make a custom front from the top panel of my old corsair 500r Now first things first I did was to cut the midplate ![]() a few other cuts for cabels ![]() then i cut the upper supportrail in two ![]() the cut bits... ![]() the moment of truth ![]() ![]() I cut some brackes from angeled alu ![]() Inside the case i used these wierd nuts ![]() Thats it for now next is the hardware and the loop

The hardware Update!
Since I’m fitting this system with this insane amount of radiators you must be thinking what kind of powerhouse is this going to be, well it isn’t the system is just my rig. Amd Phenom 955BE Asus Sabertooh 990FX 8gb Corsair Vengeance LP 1600mhz Silverstone TJ-07 Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 600W WD Blue 500GB Msi HD 6950 2gb @ Asus Hd 6970 Nzxt White Cable Extensions Cooling : XSPC Raystorm EK FC6970 Swiftech MCP35X and res for MCP35X EK fittings Clearflex tubing 3 Fractal design 120mm fans 4 Bitfenix Spectre Pro 120mm fans 2 Arctic Cooling F9 PWM 92mm fans The business end of the rig all together ![]() Loving the removable motherboard tray it made fitting the front rad easy and building the rig. Now the loop ![]() ![]() ![]() The part that you can’t see is pump and res as it is in the basement next to the PSU Overall picture ![]() Next midplate (if I can find white acrylic) and frontpanel

Okay so I didn’t make the midplate instead I made a cover, for the drive bays:
Measuring ![]() cut ![]() after some sanding and filing... perfect fit ![]() Then I drilled holes to fit the nuts ![]() After that remove the panel again ![]() Then after sanding it with some 60 grit lengthwise, on both sides. I reinstalled it and admired it ![]() I will be using this lovely mayhems coolant next as I fill the loop ![]() Its full and leaktested for the past 12 hours ![]() That is if for now. PWE

Its Alive!
postponed the first boot 3 days after my Raystom leaked during the weekend. so i had to pull it a part and check the o-ring, only to find that it did not seal at one of the bolts. First boot this morning without any problems. I overclocked it to 4.1ghz and temps are as follows
CPU Idle: 28C load:46C GPU Idle: 34C Load:46c I still have to make a midplate and front drivebay cover, HDD mount, and clean up all the cabels in the basement. PWE

Nice build im using the same coolant and have got a little color change in mine but i do like your placement of the rad in the front like how you've used the 2.5 bay to your advantage , what are you going to use to cover the bay

Small update on the front panel
I’m using the top mesh of my Corsair 500R to make the bay cover. First I removed the plastic frame from inside the panel it’s just held on with these “tabs” ![]() ![]() ![]() Volia ![]() ![]() Then I straightened all the tabs ![]() I’m reusing the dust filter thou it is not going to have any effect on dust as I’m leaving the hole in the roof open . Here first without it. And the with it ![]() ![]() Now all I need is to cut it to fit. And figure out how to mount it so that it looks clean. PWE

more OC
So I can`t find white acrylic that I can justify the cost of buying.
So I’ve been playing with overclocking the 955 and the 6950@6970bios ![]() I know I can get both higher and still have sufficient cooling but I don’t have the nerve or skill to do so – AMD 955 guru needed! PWE

No real update yet just me having no motivation. + superpi32m is super addicting so I have spent all week pushing insane volts(1.65v) to try and get 1 core over 4.6Ghz stable. I hope to get the front panel done today. I’ve been toying around with the idea of having 2 fans pulling hot air out the top of the case. I’m using the old fans from my 500r and I still have 4 left, so 2 pulling air out the top of the case and adding 2 to pull air out the basement. However to do so I will need to create shrouds for the basement, a midplate and a mount for the 2 top fans.
All feedback is welcome //pwe

YES! I finally got the front panel done and in place. First masking and measuring
![]() I forgot to take pictures of the jigsaw action but here is the final piece ![]() ![]() I mounted it using these tabs just bent 90degrees and then screwing the drivebays in behind the tabs. ![]() I initially was going to make this piece in plexi but, I didn’t think that it would be strong enough so alu it was. ![]() Again masking and measuring ![]() Drilling the pilot holes ![]() And then the cordless ran out of power, so currently I’m waiting for it to recharge.

I know it´s been a long time since the last update but I have made progress. The first thing was that my tubing was turning gray, so I drained the loop of Mayhems Pastel
![]() ![]() and refilled it with deionised water, the little amount left of pastel in the rads means that I now have white water, my guess is that im running 20ml pastel in 2000ml h2o...... that won’t discolour my tubing. I got myself another mini display port to dvi ![]() So now I can use all my monitors. I love it! I also got a Steelseries H7 headset ![]() ![]() While the loop was empty I had time to take some pictures of my gpu ![]() ![]() A friend of mine pointed out that the one thing that didn’t fit my theme was the cobber on the gpu block so I gave it a layer of white vinyl. ![]() Here is the best macro shot I could get of the back of the gpu ![]() I still need to figure out a proper way of mounting my hdd, as this is not pretty or safe ![]() Now when I start sleeving I have to clean up this mess ![]() That is it for now; I hope that you can see that i have tried to get better pictures. All feedback is appreciated! //PWE
