What tap size will I need for motherboard standoffs?
As per the above, I'm planning on tapping some motherboard standoff holes into a piece of 6mm acrylic.
What size tap will I need to use?

Jeeze. Taps are expensive. I might just use a nut and bolt.

6/32 unc tap
M3 tap wrench / spanner at bottom of page. If you go for the sets of taper second and bottom can be expensive but in plastic and ally change of breaking are very low if your slow and gentle but works out about £35 for m3 , 6/32 and a spanner If you wont to cut costs just use a second or a taper for about £7 as the thread will set in it fine work out about £20 for m3 , 6/32 and a spanner

Through bolts+ bic pen section standoffs.
If you really want to tap, I'd recommend getting something decent with a corresponding drill bit. I've never had the smaller, cheap, Chinese made taps to work right.
