Scratch Build Mini-PC - Finished (New account and a new mod)

And welcome... again...

so i drilled a bigger hole for the HDD screw's



i got both holes done and now i got my HDD adapter on place.





oh and by the way i got some more tool's from dad so i could finish this mod someday and GOD he gave more then enough they came in this bag and i didn't even know what everything there would be so it was kinda surprise




now let's take this baby to the ride and make a new hole for power adapter because old was too low and was in the way of io..







and it's good in a hood once again...

and here is the power supply
it's REALLY tight... i felt like im never going to get it in... like virgin



test fit on the case



and it's too tight it in there, time to make some room for it




but now something else is killing my nerves... the clip from psu....



it came off pretty easily, and it's there really tight anyways so it doesn't even need that "thing"



the whole package in place... just few things to do yet...



now to make the hole for io.

i couldn't find anything else so i used a pack of cards to make me a tool with sandpaper






The hole didn't come right there where it should have come O.o well got to fix this.



now it's better.... and now the last thing for today... gluing the fan.




i added glue several times from both sides once every hour...



and this is where i build it... so everyone who cry's there for not having a place to build can suck a thumb cause im building in my computer desk ( that's why the bag so the stuff wont fly every where...

sooo... well the glue is dry..


so i cut some wires off from the old antec case front panel



and i love the screw idea on this power button... : )



it's time to start installing WINDOWS! and i got a vga cable so i can hook up the computer on my own screen and the LG BD drive is from the htpc where from i took also the Apu- processor



i had to change the keyboard cause my bunny came and bite the wire so it doesn't work anymore



oh yeah and everybody who still doesn't know, im installing windows 8 on it sorry people but i heard it is easier to use...

and at the same time the case is in my sister's place in painting...



there is a sketch from it what we had in mind...



now it's painted, and the flower it self is cutted from a sticker...

Thank you and i hope it will not be last here, well in this i had to think really what my mom would love to see everyday

but still, my taste is very different from many... that's what i have heard, so i hope i wont let you down on future builds

I feel your pain with rabbit's chewing cables.

Always power cables here, and he's taken a like to Christmas lights on the tree, which are now taped up with self amalgam tape..

it took a while to get this... the European version.



okay, so it's time to take this baby to test fire



uh-mmm... it didn't work O.o well DA~ i forgot to plug in the 4-pin power cable :P



aaaaand it's working




yes it's Finnish well now that it works we can start modifying it..



let's test this it if will fit in there but to get it in there i got to take the connector off...
and because i really don't have real tools......




so i don't have the power drill anymore had to give it back, well got to buy own when i got money, so i decided to take the wings off..



well i forgot this baby



well i got something trough



it took some while to get it in this point, i had to modify the connector itself... and it's a fit!



then i applied glue several times.. almost 5-6 times cause it flow between the connector and wood what is good thing, more secure gluing when the glue is everywhere...





TIME TO ASSEMBLE!!

so i get the stuff in :3



time to do some magics with the cables!!



first of 2 fan cables done, rather easy.... now let's take a step in some harder...



okay this was really... really rather hard... it doesn't like to bend much...

now actually all the power cables...



aaaaand magic show is done, what do ya like it? comment's?




please tell me did i do good with the cables? :P
time to hook it up with a monitor and start to set stuff up..



i like how the connectors are somehow hidden in there... nice

and it still works...



i noticed that the power connector wiggled so MORE GLUE!

well i could make them shorter when i take it on my hands at second time ( when i add something with what the top stays on and put a dust filter on bottom ) but i don't even know what else i could do for them :P

I have given the computer for my mom : ) and she loved it!!! since she noticed how to use win 8

but but... now that this is finished, i allready have ordered new part's for my new mod...

it will be a secondary computer for my GF's parents,

i ordered them fron ncix, the canadians might be a bit supprised of the order coming from Finland

yes, it will not be a super computer but it will do and it's cheap to start modding with cheapo computers : ) and i know that they go in use.....

after or sametime with this i will build one computer for my dad.

this will be exciting, more then enough orders for me :P in future there will be update for my own computer, i will build new for my GF and one for friend.

but now, i am happy to close my first build down and start thinking a new one and have a beer...
