Wow. My enthusiasm for this game has just been killed in 2 pages.

Thanks for wasting a great gaming concept with poor implementation.

I watched a gameplay video of this for the first time a few weeks ago and it didn't look promising. This review and others like it have comfirmed my fears. I was so looking forward to it before then.

Shame, it looked quite promising in some of the game-play trailers.

Guess i'll be sticking to Natural selection 2, for my humans VS aliens gaming fix.

NS2 for the win - a good server and it's intense and brilliantly balanced!

Oh my.

I preordered it and bought the season pass too.

Here's hoping that this is one of those games that rates badly but I actually enjoy.

Still, Dead Space 3 is currently making me very, very happy.

Indeed, how does this stack up against AVP 2010?

IIRC it didn't fare well in reviews, but I thought it was enjoyable if not earth shattering.

AVP2 was an awesome multiplayer that still has not been equalled. Refresh that and we'll have a winner on our hands.

Such a shame. Like so many of my generation the movie Aliens holds a special place in my heart and I could prattle on for hours about the movie and the merchandise I've gathered over the years. If this is genuinely a poor game (And every review says it is) then it's unforgivable.

I'll still pick it up on a steam sale though. If I was prepared to pay £90 for a US import of the special edition on laser disc and £500 on the player to go with it then I think I'm prepared to cough up when it's half price.

It won't be the first terrible movie tie in I've played.

Aw crap. I was hoping this game would get me back into FPSs again. Oh well at least I have "Hawken" for now. Even though it's still in beta, I'm enjoying the heck out of it.
