Got promoted to Salesforce network admin at work. 3k pay rise and they're putting me on a 3k course too!

At first I got a nod and a wink that I should apply and was expected to be the only applicant but a couple of work mates got in there too so ended up having to do the proper competency testing etc, came out on top in the end though!

Feels really good as I've been unsure about my position at the company for a while now. Really good to get the support of managers etc.

Start a week Monday, can't wait!

Started using my treadclimber (my parents saw the ad on tv and decided we had to have it for exercise a few years ago) and I've been using it the last 4-5 days. Each day I try and push myself harder / further and every day I've managed to improve my 1 mile times and total calories burned in 30 minutes. 1st day I just set a fast walk than every 4-5 minutes I'd jog / run for a minute and did a mile in roughly 27 minutes. The day after I tried to make the jogs more frequent and managed 23 minutes, yesterday I tried to push myself further and managed 20:05, today I was determined to be under 20 and managed it in 19:50. Very happy with my improvements and even though it's a pretty poor time, it's an improvement. Going to try to keep this up 5-6 days a week plus some other exercises every 2nd day and my diet, and hopefully I'll hit my goal weight of 170 before next year. I've managed to drop down 10 pounds to 228 in roughly 2-3 weeks but I only started the exercising in the 3rd week so I should see some more progress more quickly now.

Also just had the best shave of my life with my newly purchased proraso shaving soap.

Keep strong dude. Keep us posted on this. Dieting is HARD! I'm trying to drop 10kg to be around the same point and its killing me. I need to loose the weight for cycling as I am now growing out of my gear.

Oh and my awesomeness?

I proposed to my girlfriend and she said yes.

My Awesomeness?

At close-on 30 years old, I tried a few things while I was visiting my folks at the coast last weekend. Crayfishing, for one. Surfing for another.

Not only did I find them less intimidating than at first expected (Who thought diving without aqualungs around sharp rocks and reaching into holes could be relaxing?), But I actually found them VERY enjoyable.

Sure, I didn't catch a single crayfish, but I managed to stand on a full blown shortboard within 2 hours... now I want to go and surf some more...
Consequence: I bought a Rash protector (also known as Second Skin here) and a long wetsuit (with <15 degrees water, we need those) while on holiday.

Next scheduled visit to the coast: When my car arrives in the next few months... Can't.Wait.

Just got a new job at an construction log home company out of town! WIN! Pioneer Log Homes. Thankfully I know some people that works there so that's a big plus..

Also got my new hearing aid kit since I'm deaf. Regardless I am enjoying music. Who said that if you're deaf, you can't enjoy music? Please..

I have one more shift tonight, two days off then two shifts next week, Means over all I get less money but I do not like my job anyway.

Going to apply for working tax credits soon. So that will help. Edit quick look and it seems I do not qualify for working tax credit. Thirty hours a week or more need to qualify. I am shifted for sixteen at the moment

Just got a full refund for my GTX570 Phantom i sent to RMA few days after 2 years of use due a bit noisy fan. The shop didn't managed to fix it in the timeframe defined by law, so here comes 358€ .

£5585 taxable benefits which has been in place for several years.
