Advice For New Shuttle

Hi All

I am after cheap shuttle. I have an AMd xp2500 CPU, memory (ddr400) Hard DRive, Graphics card so all i am after is a Shuttle with a PSU (Quiet) and Mobo that does not have onbaord graphics. No need for SATA either.

Which Shuttle should i go for and where to buy?

Thanks

The SN45G would be a good option. Can take processors up to 200MHz, which you don't need for the 2500+, but might come in handy if you want to overclock it slightly. This is supposedly the "performance" shuttle for the AthlonXP range.

The other option is the SN41G2. This is slightly less powerful (The max FSB is only 166MHz) and more expensive, but it has onboard graphics. You've said you don't need that, so go for the SN45G.

The other thing is, if you can get a V2, it has the improved PSU

yer the sn45gv2 is a good option, the v1 doesnt go up to 200mhz, as ive found out with mine, i run mine on 198mhz

if you wait for it to go on special offer on aria, then youl save a lot - got mine for £100 ages ago
