I think it looks rad: http://www.jaygoland.com/anothercastle/ps3.jpg
Joystiq/Engadget have a nice refreshing piece on the conference: http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000050043558/ Loads of pics to check in the comments. And also check the guy going crazy about the thing being able to run the Spiderman model from the movie in real-time. Impressive.

without looking in to the specs too much, it looks 'fantastic' - I guess I'll have a look down the specs sheet propperly when I get the chance in the morning.

Thats one reason I love the xbox controller as it fills my hands (Ive got big hands) and it feels right to hold, unlike that gunk sony makes.

Is that a slot-load drive? Nice. I wonder what games will cost on the new media. And I do believe I found a reason to start saving for that 1080p Samsung DLP.

Hud don't like the controller (hopefully they will build in support for the ps2 controller). Love the look of the console though, I think it looks much nicer than the xbox 360.

Better yet, it looks like two dildo's
I'm not a console man, but I have to say that looks nice. Except the RAM. Only 256MB seems low to me

i'll bet that controller's actually quite comfortable. sony aren't the company who'd do something for kicks.
looks like wireless will become the standard...

. Anyway, the Xbox 360 has got 512 of mem thats shared between the main system and the graphics. I prefer the PS3 way of doing things and having seperate dedicated RAM running at its optimal speed for the area of the console that its going to be used for. and 256Meg for graphics come on!!! do YOU have 512meg of graphics on your GeForce 6800?

I was hoping this thing would be uglier than the Xbox 360 so I'd feel better, lol.

The xbox 360 uses 512mb of shared system/video ram while the PS3 has 256mb for the system and 256mb for video - total 512mb in the box. The PS3 controller is horrible, I hope they change it before the final release. I'm not a fan boy either way, don't care who wins the console wars round two. I'm just amazed at the graphics leap both ATI and NVIDIA made. If they had this technology why the hell don't we have PC's built like this yet. What are these boxes going to cost us?
