7800gt 24 piplelines? 7800Ultra 32 pipelines?

I hope they will make it like the current serries:
7800 n/u 24 pipelines 7800gt 32, 7800ultra 32 pipelines and faster mem and core clock.

i guess the only thing that would make be abandon waiting for a G7 would be being able to run quad core 6800gt's 512mb ea.

THANKS BT TEAM FOR THE GREAT NEWS!!!

From what I've heard, all the 7xxx will be 24 pipes, and you got the R520 info mixed in (that will be 24 or 32 pipes).

I agree, although nvidia doesn't like that idea too much I think. Beacuse if the nonultra uses the same design as the gt/u, people will flash to gt/u, and people will OC the GT to U (exactly what is happening now, which loses them potential money). Which is why supposedly only the top G70 (7800 something, I don't think they're doing GT/Ultra naming this time around) will support SLI...

/me has visions of SLIed twin core 7800 Ultras with 96 pixel pipelines ( ... )

Apart from potential turbo nutter ******* combos it doesn't sound like a big improvement on the previous generation, but I guess we'll just have to wait for the benchmarks!
