A trip to the NVidia boardroom:
"OOOH! Lookie what ATi announced...QUICK! What can we think of to beat this!? Think FASTER...FAAASTTERRR!!! I know...they have Super-AA, let's make Super-DUPER-AA!!!"

well, fair play to them IMHO - ATI claimed they could do more with CrossFire than what NVIDIA could do with SLI. NVIDIA turn on more features when they have competition.

Good marketing, but the customers who already run SLI kinda get shafted in that respect. Granted, 1600x1200 4xAA is pretty void of jaggies so I'm not too worried. What I really hope is they add (fix?) support for multiple displays with SLI enabled, and/or a reboot-free software enable/disable of it.

So, you think when G70 hits shelves they'll add in 4xCTU (crappy texture upscaling)? lol Because let's face it, you can have 100xAA 100xAF and still have horrible image quality with crappy textures.

<A88> will become famous soon enough
SLI only works with one monitor. Two won't work.

Now if one of them could get off their backsides and develop a better interface than DVI for future digital high resolutions displays I'd be more impressed

AFAIK that is on the list of 'things to be fixed' in the future, but right now it does not work.

What's wrong with DVI?
To make it as obvious as possible, SLI needs two video cards, but can only output to a single display. We WANT multi display support in SLI mode, but don't have it.

I understand that multi-monitor support is something that will be fixed soon. I don't know what kind of time frame, but it has been on the bug reports for a while now.

Good Although bad timing, as my second monitor is (literally) bolted onto the side of a different case. Might be able to make use of one of my PS1 screens though.
