Works great, this was posted over at VR zone forums 3 months ago (same guide, same person) managed to get a chaps DFI SLI and 0517 Venice (one of the best sterrpings available) to 300*9 using the recommended settings.
Well worth a try by the DFI/GSkill users.
If you dont have a DFI board, these settings arent quite as good though, caused instability on this neo2. Some settings help, others dont.

Seems like the DFI lanparty and the venice 3000 work well together no matter WHAT else you're using...those are some impressive numbers, particularly for such an inexpensive CPU. Do they ALL overclock like that, or is it just the 3k?

Some do, some dont. Its the luck of the draw Most chips (no matter what the stock) seem to do 2.4-2.8 happily enough

So is there a reason to buy higher than a 3000+ if you're OCing? I'm not all that familiar AMD chip tolerances and am seriously looking into one as an option. Most of the people I've looked at with the 517s seem to get 2.9-3.0 ghz on air cooling.
