Hey guys, I know we have a mixed bunch of guys that play various games. And what I am looking to organise in the new year is a night of gaming. Most of the guys I game with will most likely be online but I want to expand this group to encompass other members of Bit Tech. The CPC BF3 server is rarely used so I want to bring new players into the group. Play some rounds of BF3 and over all have some fun in doing so. This is not limited to BF3, maybe some DayZ action as well as BC2 and other multiplayer games. We have the possible option of using a private server for DayZ if Adrock is permiting our regular usage. I know its currently private and passworded whilst he plays with the database. So who is interested? Mumble usage isn't a must but is preferred. I will be streaming and recording so I will be posting some if not most of the events on my channel. (see my signature for linky)
In! Great idea! TF2 might be an idea seeing as it's a game 99% of people on the forum have / can get for free?
I will pick up TF2 tomorrow as its one game I don't own. Have played it at the Mumble Meet event and enjoyed it. Elton you will be missed. Nooooooooooooo :heh: I will add the only time I won't be online is Tuesday's and Saturday's due to work. Though I may pick up other shifts. I will designate which game we are playing in advance and hopefully get someone to take my place running the events if I am unavailable.
I'd like to do some gaming with bit-techers. BF3 or CS:GO or even DayZ as I have ARMAII CO and I have TF2 as well. So its all good. Gaming with some sense of community is better than just a bunch of randomers.
I'll try to make myself avaliable despite the little one. It's generally hard to predict when i'll have time, but I'll do it any way..
I might join in on some BF3 for the laugh. I'm out of space on my SSD due to BF3, Hawken and DayZ. ZiiP have their own DayZ server, so I'm still trying to get to grips with the damn thing (only played one evening of it so far). Regardless, it's a good idea Dom, kudos.
Have popped onto the Ziip Server, though we frequent other maps right now. Tell me about SSd space, I am currently downloading Combined Ops via Steam as I only own OA none steam version.
~15GB for ArmA2 in total.... Then again, BF3 is close to 28GB! I think we've settled on Panthera as it offers the most reliable environment in terms of quality. The lads have tried pretty much all the other maps, but some of them are just abysmal. I'm keeping an eye on ArmA3, looks extremely pretty. Might give me my Project Reality fix (I miss the little-birds in that).
Namalsk is our favorite, though I do like Panthera. Dave_Beast has a private hive that I have been on. 200+ vehicles.
This could be a good thing to get going again - the last time I played with the bit-tech community (and didn't fail horribly like in BF3) was those L4D2 games we had a while back. Only 8 players max though, so it wouldn't really be suitable for the kind of events you have planned. In that case I would recommend BF3 (although I am rubbish at it), TF2, possibly CS:S? For smaller matches L4D2 could come in again...
Sounds like a good idea. I am mainly a Call Of Duty player to be honest, but I do play some Battlefield 3 but I don't really get along with it. I would only be able to play though on a Friday and Saturday night due to work.
The night is yet to be chosen. Most likely when I am free to play. As I stated Tuesday's and Saturday's are currently a no go for me. So a Friday might be a good idea. Will see what others say.
