Today I have something very fine and Exclusives for you.

[url = 'http://www.bequiet.com/de'] BeQuiet.de [/ url] brings in October its first case on the market. The promo is the case also the only functioning prototype is since today with me and is waiting to be modded.
The case should still be recognizable as BeQuiet Case after the modifications, so this time there by myself no radical modding.

I have before the case "to dress armor plates, hence the name" with The Shield "
The plates are mounted with spacing on the Case and Orange are backlit. As Window I'll probably use smoke gray Plexiglas. In the top is in the "armor plate" of the be quiet lettering who is also the opening for the exhaust air from the radiator.

What else will happen I have not even looking and I will spontaneously decide, you can also make suggestions then yes.

The hardware setup is to be located on the top Kathegorie. Among other things, a hand-made PCI-E SSD Raid card comes into the system. More on that later.

For now, just unpack a few pictures from.

Here's a Neutral packing you can not see what is in it. :)

    Finally Open ...

quickly ... and pulled out. Looks right out fine.

Here you can install 2 SSD.

The buttons in the top are plug in the cables. Very good idea I think.

The HDD can be decoupled directly to gums.

Beginning I will probably only make the case DCMM, since first nor the Sky Reciver needs a new case. :)

Sorry for my bad English, i translate all with google. I am a english noob :D

The DCMM's around for a long time. But unfortunately, the whole still a little delayed.

    But here we go also.

So he looked even before the first intervention.

First of all plastic parts were times initially out from the LW and cages.

Then I drilled out the rivets of the front and then cut because not the drive shaft is required.

Instead of LW shaft still came a third HDD bay so.

In the front then comes a 420 radiator for the 240 is fitted in the top.

Tomorrow I will begin with the Plexiteilen coming on the outside.

Today it went on with the case.

First, the case had taped off times on a page to record me how I could make it the best.

Sonja said I could put my logo with, so I did it once printed and stuck.
Then I recorded with pencil lines times as it could be.

Then I have the lines then traced with a permanent marker.

The slits should be about 6-8 mm wide later, so I have made this even thicker.
All Black is now supposed to be later orange plexi on the Black Plexi then comes 3mm.

So completely but it pleases not me, but unfortunately I do not know how I could do it differently.
If you have ideas can you like with paint on the first image rum paint, maybe I can have someone to assist you what could ausschauen well. :(

I also thought it to lay a strip conductors scheme over it.

Well, let's see if I get it tomorrow even better way.

I liked the first drawing with your logo and the pencil stripes around it. Kinda looked like the logo was on a circuit board.

So, the plan is changed and thrown the whole Conzept on the heap.

Me it does not quite fit, and my wife said also that it does not fit it.

Then today've made with the Ironknocker from the We-Mod-It forum times brainstorming and we came to the following.

The side cover to get a Window that so great is only about 3cm stay away. In the side window of smoke gray plexi then comes again the bead with the be quiet! Cover.
From inside the case is then illuminated white.
The doors of the front come off and be a continuous radiator grill of black Plexi created to the over the top moves backward. In the front then comes my logo as a cutout and then throughout the slots so that the radiator gets air. Top ins are only slots.

Inside is everything gecleant than HDD frames are clad, graphics cards cover Midplate etc ...

So it suits me quite well, and I think that it better fits the case. Let's see if me since then few ideas occur to what could be done yet.

    What do you think?

    Description does seem more fitting.

Still, I'm sure you'll find a proper place for your logo soon enough. Perhaps give the other side a try?

The last days have arrived here a few packages.
First, the power supply and fan of Be Quiet ...

Today is also a beautiful package from Aquatuning come, thanks for the great support.

    Among others, this chic set

and I did not think that a 420 is an Radi Oschi :)

also is also the Plexiglas come.

Once Schwar Hi-Gloss, which is a cool stuff, I like really good.
One has since the processing on what specific stock Make? 've Already seen that there are two different sides.

In addition, there was also a plate smoke gray plexiglass. The White not part of the case.

The Orange you know already, this is from my portfolio.

Today we went on and I had the front so edit the radiator in place has. So the bridge and above the diaphragm removed.

On Case and the ground I had also cut out a piece of the radiator slides to the drive frame. Otherwise not enough space for The Hi-Gloss Plexi.

Above it lacked even a piece of that but also the Flex has not kept long service.

On the radiator I have the Be Quiet fan screwed. Since I have to use other screws, otherwise it would not go off with the plaza.

Then once fully inserted to the sample.

That's it for the first time again.

I have until now still no name for the case, but I know now that it "Silent Base 800" is.

How would it be with "Silent Base X-H2O"?

I also bought a no digital picture frame, I will set behind the front and let it show logos. (Idea stolen from BitFenix: D)

Today, a great package from Asus has come. Thank you for that. I was for a long time so no hardware hewn from the stool. I think the design simple and consistent fits in the case now is precisely to Conzept of the colors here.

The graphics card is a monster, but its cooler lose as a water cooler Liquid Extasy it is the first must also be specially made because to do so no coolers are.

On the back is even a backplate on it, and I've been thinking about what I'm going to build there. But I'll leave now so because it pleases me very much.

As you can see then it fits exactly with the water cooler clean.

The mainboard is just a great piece of hardware. This also gets full watercooling assembly.

I'm looking forward correctly on install.

It now went this week fresh from holidays and back on.

First I cut the top, as well as Plexiglas is in here.

This must now be then filed and sanded.

Next, I cut the plexiglass with the router.

The slots are all arbitrary, it should not cause any definioerbares Sample. and I think it looks great.

The worst work now comes yet ... filing, sanding and polishing :(

But now I milled then only times nor the Plexiglas for the top.

Have so where we worked after a very long time at the house much it is now more full time. It is indeed sometimes be done :)

First of all, I will at times Angel Bird thank you cards for these two SSD PCI Raid.
These cards are still prototypes, and are therefore very long.

Therefore, they will unfortunately not so in the case. Now I have to think about how I do it. Actually, should 10 HDDs in the case, but unfortunately there is a frame to give way.

I've also been asked here to remove the piece that I can not unfortunately. :(

So, today it was also actively on the case.
After marking, I started with the milling and the group went awry times: monster:
Since the board has resolved and has slipped. I am glad that I had ordered more 50cm, so I had spare.

Since I have the tape just taken off and stuck on the new disk. Then I was able to continue.

    It has everything worked great.

Next, I have looked after the power button. So first cut from the original part, ...

... cut and grind in height.

In the Plexi I still cut a suitable hole and course-filed clean.

    Fits!

The connection panel I had to edit easily as it is to seamlessly insert into the milled slots.
Since I have filed with the USB ports at the side tabs away

For the two audio jacks I have milled for 2 Aussparrungen ...

... and painted black with permanent marker. Since I'm going to help out but again with paint.

Next, we went to the first side cover to the collar.
As I did with the Flex cutouts.

Are perfect just become. Must only with a file to remove the ridge.

The inner part, I also cut out because it will be used later in the plexi.

The front and top I have mitred and times Attached profisorisch.

    Here sometimes with side panel.

The Plexi for the side pieces I already cut today.

Tomorrow we're to the filing and polishing.

As I said it continues today.
First, I've cut out the 2nd side part.
In addition I have the parts of the first simple Expose and mark on the 2nd.

Then we went so the inner part to miss round corners.
A Dremel cutting wheel had the ideal radius.

Then it came time to make the neckline in Pexi.
But I have the inner part just upped the ante and mark with a pencil.

And then made an offset of 5mm inside.

One of the core drill had by chance just the right radius: D

So I then first made the corners ...

... and then cut out with a jigsaw.

    Once test beds :)

Then we went to the sheet metal parts for painting.

Then I glued the plexi on the side panel. As had somewhat attracted I got down to the inner part.
In addition I have 2 angles created it fits and I have to create something.

On the inner part then came the adhesive. If a power glue UHU from the cartridge.

    Loading.

And slightly press it, the rest the corners clean.

I'm curious how this will ausschauen tomorrow.

So now I'm sorry to have to put off for a long time. But there are always Weather-related work that can not postpone ran the house came about.
Last but not least is still the workshop moved.
But now it can go with big steps further back.

First off, there's pictures of the finished side panels ...

    ... here on the case.

Then I have at the front with the fine work angefangen.Ich the edges wanted in the millings not smooth have to achieve beautiful lighting effects and have rum Try a while. Ultimately, I am still hang onto a router which I then clamped to the drill press.
So I am always so easy on plexi along. As a result, the result is a pattern.
To always have the router at the same depth I just pushed an angle between the top :)

To work without back pain I put something fortuitous me the machine :)

The images are part of the old and new workshop, as I have always done it again what. Hald is very slow

Here you can see beautiful as it looks before and after.

After the "milling" I have the edges beveled degree angle with a file in 45.
Then I'm easily gone with the flame over it.

Next, I then installed the 240mm radiator. The fans are here to pull because it looks better and sufficient cooling capacity is indeed available.

Here again a close-up of the connections.

Then I marked out the top plate forward. it must be here then as the Case beveled and polished again.

Morning, the top is then processed.
