Electronics Can you cut LED strips?

I'm sure I read that you can. Thing is I am worried about cutting them in the wrong place and killing them.

So can you? and if so if I upload a pic could some one tell me the cut points?

Mine are not like that fella. I will try and get a pic of the back side/traces tomorrow. They were like £1.12 for two lol. IIRC it's three LEDs per resistor, so it should be manageable.
