Hi All, Got a small problem that's been bugging me for a few months now. Got 2 Xbox 360's on the Network, and if i'm signed in, all is well, If the other is turned on, then i'm disconnected, and can either take an age to re-sign in, or just flat out refuses too. So: 360 A is connected to a Switch, which is then direct into the Router (Draytek 2850n) 360 B is connected direct to the router via a Ethernet over Powerline Both 360's where assigned IP's, but i've bound them by MAC, so the IP's never change from 192.168.1.17 and 192.168.1.19. UPnP is Enabled, and i've also opened up all ports, and linked those to the 2 IP's, yet the problems still persist. Any idea's on what i should do. Looking around various sites with the same issue seem to give mixed fixes. Many thanks for any ideas. Sam
Not sure how that would help ? But give it a try I don't know everything . Anyway what happens when you run them in a DMZ?
I've moved my 360 onto a new IP of 192.168.1.30, working ok for now, but no one else on the network. I've read that sticking a 360 into a DMZ does work, but mixed results, i've also read that Port Triggering fixes the issue. Will give the DMZ a shot, See if that works. Cheers, Sam
Well, Something isn't happy, got kicked off Live with no one on the network, nobody else in the house, so not sure what's going on. Sam
Hi Have tried this? Worth a shot. http://en.kioskea.net/faq/5628-using-two-xbox-360-consoles-on-the-same-internet-connection Edit: Oops, I just saw that you already mentioned port triggering.
Thanks Andre_B, i hadn't tried Port Triggering, just read that it 'can' help, However, using the page you've linked, it's worked, so far :Thumb: So cheers for that. Sam
Best solution would be using real IP addresses not NAT'd ones as the ports that they may use could conflict. However, if you're not with a decent ISP then you'll only be given one of these at best.
Im sure i read not to long ago that much of the time its to do with the IP addresses of invidual homes. I.e. your home only one IP address but two xbox live accounts running from it causing the conflict. There are means and ways which you appear to be exploring, however this appears to be that very same problem I have read about. If you have another modem/router where your internet comes in, use instead to see if this makes a difference?
it's more likely to do with NAT related issues, and your router being overzealous with the port allocation.
