Hi Guys, does anyone know of any software to sample songs, look them up on the internet and re-name and re-tag them? need to sort out my music collection, coming from a windows 2000 install and loads of devices means my libary is really messed up. if there is anything out there that could work miracles like this, let me know
has it got any of that functionality in it? i didn't notice anything on the surface... i also want to divide it up and re-folder it for neatness and album art
It doesn't sample but MediaMonkey does a very good job of organising and tagging tracks. Who knows, maybe someone has written a plugin for it that can sample, it has a lively community.
Cool. One tip I would give you. If you set the option to store album art inside the tag/MP3 file, WMP will pick it up automatically. However, if you use external images then WMP won't see them and will want to download all those "folder.jpg" files and store them all over the place (whose stoopid idea was that!). It is set in one of the option dialogs, can't remember which one and I am at work so can't look right now.
yeap i've got that set, seems to work ok and syncs nicely to my HTC desire in HDD mode, album art appears to be coming up ok on the phone, just need to go through and re-tag everything now
