    Corel Paint Shop Pro X Free

    You can get it Here

    To remove nag screen (on exit) do the following:

    1. After installing, open the following file in Notepad:
    C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro X\PCUUI\Container.htm
    2. Erase all the text, replace it with the following code:

    <script type="text/javascript">
    location="pcucmd://Cancel?confirm=no";
    </script>

    Save the file

    I am happy with Jascs Soft Paint Shop Pro 7. Works perfectly under 2000, XP, Vista, Win7.. and I am not even at a point to run it in any compatibility mode. The only down side is the file associate doesn't work.. but I don't care. It opens just as fast as Photogalary in Windows :)

    There is no catch and it is completely above board, I even posted the "fix" to remove the "nag" on exit...

    Excellent, I prefer Paint Shop over Photoshop as I have no need for so many features. Plus photoshop is easier to use.

    I've been using PSP 7 for ages too and always been very happy with it.

    Just hoping this one allows you to crop an image to specific dimensions, ie so I can cut a section out of an image that will allow me to print it at 6x4.

    Thanks for the find Jbloggs.

    Reminds me of a younger self but nowadays I prefer the easier option - unless you actually meant PSP is easier to use!

    I was once a happy user of paintshop 6,7,8, and 9 then a photoshop CS2 disc appeared on my desk one day, and well i've been using that since.

    I did pirate CS3 so i could trial run it with all the features, but i just couldn't see the point with it and ended up going back to CS2.

    Paintshop pro X does look interesting.

    I used to use PSP but since finding Paint.net I have had no need to go back to it. I didn't even bother to reinstall PSP after my last rebuild, ~20 months ago :)
