    At 1080p/1200p, probably not at the moment.

    I'd wait until the next generation if it were my money. What's the 7970 struggling with at the minute?

    I agree with Shirty. I upgraded to a 290X from a 6970 and I was disappointed. I game at 1080p though so I supose I would see the benefits if it was a higher reolution. Save your money and avoid the 290 cards as they are rubbish as far as I'm concerned.

    Yeah might save my money the now, I was just curious on what the bump in performance would be. Thanks for your inputs though. :thumb:

    I'm going to wait for Nvidia's next card before I upgrade now. Probably the GTX 870 if they go with the same naming convention. It isn't worth the upgrade now with the new stuff just around the corner.

    Nothing concrete!

    Reports of problems with 20nm GPU fabrication could put the next generation off until next year. Other schools of thought think they'll run the new architecture on 28nm soon and offer a 20nm refresh next year! Before people shout GTX 750 Ti, I'm referring to higher spec cards!
