I have heard that the cheapest way to buya top end DSLR and Lens is to fly out to Swizerland and buy it there. It may sound odd, but it's possible to shave up to 25% off the UK price, even when you factor in the price of the flight. Flat pack the box and mail it home, and put the rest in your bag.

wex photographic is a good place to look - they trade in and then sell on second hand equipment and give a 12 month warranty on it. I've bought a 2nd hand lens from them before and it's not missed a beat.

Depends if you are looking to buy something from a shop or private sale, like a forum like dpreview

www.mpbphotographic.co.uk are one of the bigger pre-owned resellers. They are all really nice guys, all photographers and their kit is quite decently priced. It's where I get all my stuff from, can't recommend them highly enough.

Ha ha, yes I've done just that and nabbed a D750 for 40%. Check this thread:

It doesn't work for all the cameras, but it's worth investigating.

Travelling to other countries is not convenient to anyone :D

The thing to check with the ebay seller is whether it is a grey import. This would mean that the warranty is not from Canon, but from the shop. So you need to rely on them if something goes wrong. Also, the resale value will be affected if you cannot prove it's a proper Canon UK warranty.

If you want to go the grey market route then use these guys:

I have never used them but they get decent reviews and seem quite reliaable in honouring warranties.
