I've never really cared much about which type of (internal) sata cable to get as long as it has a latch and will run at 6G. Is there much usable difference between the them (brands)? Some are round and some are flat. Is that important?
No, arguably there's not even a difference between 3 and 6Gb/s cables. Round vs flat is an aesthetics thing, some people say certain types make routing cables easier or help air flow.
