    Got a ZOTAC 970.

Love the little devil, but when playing Witcher 3 on Ultra, she starts to wake the neighbour.

The only available alternative I can find here in Canada is Corsair's HG10 VGA cooler kit, WHICH I need to buy another All-In-One cooler on top of it... which breaks (well) over $100 which I can't afford.

Any ideas for after-market cooler (air or water) for 970? Then I'll see if any of them can ship to dear old Canada.

    Thanks!

See if you can find an ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme IV that's within budget. That should fit whether your 970 has a 670 or 760 type pcb.

I got the Zotac short chubby version.

    Not sure if this fits?

Yeah I'm lookin for sub $100US options... guess that's it lol.

If I'm goin to spend any more than that, I'd rather do Alpha's suggestion and grab a 1060... but here in Canada they're still way above $350CA.....

I was going to suggest on of these as I had one on a 480 and it worked a treat, butt non of the cards listed as compatible on the official website would measure up and it includes 680 and 770, but not the 670 or 760 which were the 2 types of pcb used for the 970. You could always email Gelid and ask.

Another one would be to get an aio and use the cable tie method to secure it to the gpu.

    again, over my budget :(

I would rather sell my 970 for about $300, then spend another $200 for 1070.

I can't, for the live of me, even if on paper it's better, to upgrade to a 1060.... It's just my brain won't process it.
    Ooooooooooh zip ties!

Time to check eBay/Kijiji for some cheap used AiO! :thumb::rock:

You could try adjusting the fan profile to let it run a bit hotter but with less fan speed? Maybe move the PC?
