I think you went a bit too far with photomatrix.
However there is something about it that draws me in, probably the composition.

Personally I'm not a fan of these over-processed types of HDR photos.

It's a bit dark overall for me to get into the detail of the roller.

You should take your HDR application in a different direction. Bring out details and show some range- the "halo" effect (in my opinion) always detracts from the final image.
And like akpoly said, slightly too dark.

    Still like it though.

    2nd the above comments.

It looks like there's a nice photo under there, have you got a lighter version?

Thanks for all the comments guys.

    hmmm okay. Thanks though :)

I'm also not really a fan, but I think that this one looks pretty nice

I couldn't get a shot of the roller from the other side (where the sun was shining on) as a bum was taking a nap there. So it is dark to begin with.

Like I said above, sun was bad for the shot. The image I posted here actually is lighter than the original one.

//It looks like everyone wants their own version of this photo. I also posted this on another forum and they all thought the earthy colours were better. But now you guys want something else.

I posted these on the other forum:
