Due to my damaged and deformed legs, I'll need custom braces to walk properly again. The stroke sapped most of my strength, leaving me with a barely usable left arm and legs that work against themselves. I've started a GoFundMe to help me afford the Medicare copay on my braces, and possibly my new wheelchair as well. The site is: gofundme.com/Xmzy4m4 If this is a problem mods feel free to remove the post, but I thought the Bit-Tech family should know how I'm recovering and the setbacks I face. I've stayed stronk. But stronk and well funded are two different things.
https://www.gofundme.com/xmzy4m4/ Done. Hope it helps mate. Come on Bit-tech, pull your finger out and help this bloke, given all the $h!t he's been through a few quid will help. Kayin, forgive my UK based ignorance, but where does Obama care stand here?
Broadly speaking, it doesn't factor in this particular scenario. Due to his condition Kayin is enrolled in Medicare, which is a separate pseudo-public health insurance program. However, if he chose to enroll in private health insurance, one of the provisions in the Affordable Care Act prevents insurance companies from denying him based on pre-existing conditions.
It's worse than that. My redneck-assed state refused the Medicare expansion, meaning that I could have had no copay if politicians weren't dicks.
Once I get paid (Monday) Ill ping some fundage your way. if we all put in a little im sure we do it. If we can do this bionic arm im sure a good set of braces are doable
I've chipped in a bit, wish my finances allowed more. My late mum got hit by Polio when she was a kid and wouldn't have walked without her leg 'callipers' (external metal braces). It's bloody stupid and cruel that such basics should have to be self funded . Good luck with raising the dosh you need
Glad to see this is going well, i think it was the sexy picture in stockings. Show some more leg and we could have finished by the weekend. I wish I'd have known about this sooner, I would have auctioned off my Carmageddon giveaway for £1-£5 a ticket and gave you the proceeds.
Done. Considdering what some of us spend on our various habits this should be easy. Wishing you all the best brother.
I could certainly use it. I transferred the $700 out today and got $640.80. It's enough to get them started o my braces and maybe enough extra for the new shoes they will require. I didn't know GoFundMe cut so deeply deeply. But I'm still thakful for each and every donation that I get-you guys are the reason I'll get to walk again.
