Nearby to where I work is a wonderful little Italian restaurant, they do chicken with ham, cheese melts or pasta with any thing. Its a small little shop, but its in a really rich area, like I cant even think of some where more expensive. Some one in their family or what ever must have bought the place years ago. I have gone to this place from time to time and well there is not much loyalty with me regarding where I go for lunch, I will go to wok to work, Eat, Vital, Boots, Subway. The other day we all went to this Italian place and on a shelf behind the till was a reasonable CD player playing some music and we all starting talking about the music and the staff just morally collapsed. They said that the same CD had been playing for years. I was touched by the staff who provide some darn good food and a smile to the customers and I promised them I would get them a good new CD, I instantly thought about Ray Charles, Mario lanza, or Eva Cassidy - What a Wonderful World This is where you guys can chip in. I know about songs like marriage of figaro duettino, I think this is great chance to put together a CD fit for repeat in a relaxed setting with Italian over tones, this is not easy but there are plenty of classics that can fill a CD like this? If any body has a song recommendation for a cd in a low key relaxed Italian food shop in W1, please ping it here. I am keeping open on an S4 memo for ideas when I hear them. So far..
