Google isn't helping me so I thought I'd turn to the amazing collective knowledge that is bit-tech! A while ago (on imgur I believe) I saw a league table for the premier league but it was displayed in a different way to usual - it had all the points displayed from highest to lowest but included rows even for points totals that no team had and as such it gave a better visual representation of the spread of the teams rather than just their positions in the league. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? It was given a particular kind of name but I can't remember that either... Thanks in advance! GK
Are you talking about the ones they publish in Mirror? Or are you talking about the Cann table (as seen in Metro)?
I think it was just the alternative table. Can't seem too find an updated table but was it similar this ? http://metrouk2.files.wordpress.com/2014/01/alt-prem-table.jpg These are often posted to the Soccer Reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/soccer
That's it! The Cann Table Thanks for the help chaps! Edit: Should say that, other than finding it interesting, I wanted to use it in a lesson as an example of spotting outliers / extreme values in a set of data
