Is there any software (or even hardware) solution to do this? I personally want the eye candy of 1440p/4k but for video recording or streaming want to use 1080p.
I'm pretty sure Open Broadcast Software can record/stream at a different resolution to that which you are playing at. I think you just use Resolution Downscale in Settings>Video.
I figured this but wasn't sure about 1440p to 1080p as usually software only seems to support nice round multiples when down sampling.......
