Can you recommend me a good, quiet, non-gaming GPU to output HD video and be a solid performer for web browsing, office work, youtube, camcorder videos on a high resolution screen (better than 1920x1200) ?

Also would like the option of HDMI out as well as maybe Displayport (but that's not essential)

I was thinking something along the lines of this -

Sapphire HD 5450 1GB DDR3 HDMI DVI VGA Out PCI-E Low Profile Graphics Card

    Thanks,

That should do it. Maybe something a little cheaper even.

Presumably he wants to know what other options there are, and whether that one is good value for the money, or if there are known issues with it. I don't have anything to add unfortunately, but maybe someone else does.

For the price it can't be bad though, and the reviews seem to say it's good for non-game use.

That is exactly the kind of duties that card was designed for. That should meet your needs perfectly :)

    Hope this helps.
