Just upgraded to a Canon EOS 1100D body from a 350D and am having a play with it also looking on the Canon website for manuals software ETC and I note that there has been a firmware update but for the life of me I cannot find what version I currently have looking through the menu.

Anyone point me in the right direction please?

It should be under the last yellow (spanner) menu tabs on the rear screen.
Firmware 1.0.5 is the current one, and was released Jan 2012.

I don't have that many spanners for a start. I have 2 red boxes, two blue and 2 yeallow which have the spanner on them. Which is where I expected the info to be but nope.

Damn, don't know what I did but I have now a load more boxes and as it happens the firmware is up to date.

You must have moved the selector dial away from the green square (simples mode), which hides some of the menu screens.
