I am getting ready today to buy all the parts for a new PC.

I am choosing this MoBo (AsRock B75M-DGS) to go with an i3-2105

My question is is that it has a 4 pin CPU power connection and need to know if the Corsair CX430 will work with it?

    Seen here.

It has an 8 pin but not a 4 pin. Can I still make it fit somehow? Thanks for the help. I tried doing a search online but couldn't find any decent results.

An 8-pin connector is typically two four-pin connectors snapped together. You should be fine.

The 8 pin will either separate in two, or you can just plug in the half you need and it will work fine, I've not seen a board that doesn't allow clearance to do this.

How long does TIM stay good for? I bought some AS5 about year and a half ago and was wondering if I decide to buy an aftermarket heatsink if it would still be useable. I wasn't going to make a whole new thread on this.

It should still be fine, assuming the cap was on tight. Should still be about the consistency of toothpaste.

I've had AS5 sealed for about 3 years and it's still good. Have no idea how long you are 'supposed' to leave it for though before throwing it.
