    Quite depressing really... I would have died approximately 18 times (assuming I live to an average of 75 each time) before earning the salary of Ronaldo.

    It may take more than my lifetime, but it's a small price to pay for not being Cristiano Ronaldo.

    Footballer's wages have always disgusted me, not because I'm jealous of their wealth, but because there are no sportspeople in the world who deserve to be paid such extortionate amounts of money less than footballers.

    What Mr Tad said is quite true though!

    Supply and demand.

    There is only 1 Christiano Ronaldo. Footballer and celebrity - worth lots to the club.

    There are lots of part qualified accountants. Useful but replaceable.

    I really really wish that wasn't the truth.

    This will just turn in to an "look how much better off than you I am" thread.
    I mean some of the above posts suggest your getting paid £150k per annum. That in its self is hardly any better than the footballers as it's still hugely above the average 26200 being reported as average.

    It'd take me hundreds of years to earn what he earns in a year, but he could wait millennia and still be a twunt. ;)

    Having said that, one of the people who probably isn't obsessed with Christiano Ronaldo's salary is Christiano Ronaldo.

    Focussing on money, or your current lack of it, will only ever guarantee you misery.

    Dude, the only reason it would turn into that sort of thread is because of your post, and your inflammatory claim that having a six-figure salary is "hardly any better than the footballers." Do you honestly think that? :rolleyes:

    Back on topic, I don't earn anything at the moment because I'm at uni, but hey, it's an interesting idea.

    Like many footballers before him, Ronaldo will eventually be a thing of the past, as will his ridiculous salary.

    :D:thumb::rock:
