My name is F.A.T. and I’m one of the lucky contestants in the NUC competition this year! My kit finally arrived after some delay, but now I’m ready to get started on “ Flux”! I thought it would be a nice idea to add a few videos to the buildlog along the way. Hope you like it, and otherwise….there are enough pictures ! This is the design for the case, a round shape with a top cover of clear blue plexiglass. Here are a few pictures of the package I received! Thats it for today! There will be a new post soon !
Here we go, here we go, here we go! I was afraid of when this log was going to pop up, the concept just looks so out there. It's always exciting when somebody uses their industry experience on a small project like this, be it a machinist, woodworker, welder, goldsmith, electrical engineer you name it. I'm really curious about the heat dissipation on this one. Obviously the kits have such a low TDP that really interesting things are possible if you have the knowledge and tools/materials/skills. Best of luck!
Thanks for all the great comments, already ! Thanks! That means a lot ! And here is just a small sneak preview for the subject "heat dissipation"! This is the victim...
Really looking forward to this one. For your next videos, consider turning off auto focus, as it kinda messes up the video, and creates a lot of noise when it tries to focus. You have probably written it somewhere, but can you put your website in your signature, so that we can see some of the jewelry you have made?
Haha, Yes It is a challenge, but that keeps things interesting ! That is some really good advice! I will try that the next time I make a video! I will add my website to my signature! Unfortunately there is not very much jewelry on there. I work for different company's and make their jewelry, which means it is their product and not something I can put on my website. I added 2 company's links below, so you can check out the jewelry ! http://www.sk-edelsmid.nl/skcollection/ http://www.brech.nl/collectie/ Thanks Richard! Your quick, I'm a bit slow !
I have taken apart the NUC just to check what is under the hood ! I was surprised to see that the aluminium frame was made with a lot of care! The solid frame looks really good! Just thought it was funny that they only covered a very small part in black paint! So from now on I will start building up in stead of demolishing !
They only painted the end, as it is all it takes. It is just painted black, so it would appear black from the outside, so no need to paint the whole thing
Your right Cheapskate!! I forgot this picture! It was actually the first thing I did when I opened up the NUC, so here it is.... tadaa
