    Hi,

    Please can you help me?

I am planning on building a PC for 3D modelling / rendering, which I do as a hobby and not as a profession. But I am unsure which motherboard would be suitable; please can you tell me which would be best regarding cost / benefits for use in a hobby environment:

Asus P6T WS professional (with Xeon or Gulftown) - as shown in issue 79 of CPC

EVGA classified SR-2 (1x xeon first, then 2x later)

All the best and thank you

EVGA for dual Xeon goodness later on. A no brainer if you ask me.

Thank you. It does seem the best and was just trying to price things up at the minute - i didnt want to go too mad on cost if i wasnt going to benefit that much just for a hobby.

Do you know if there is a price for the EVGA yet?

I've not seen a definite price yet, no. Still, it looks a beautiful board, and will make a great rendering workstation that can also be used for other stuff - gaming, video etc, and clockable.
