Right then fine folks of Bit-tech, it's time to give something back to the community. I'd like to be able to do this more often, but sadly I'm not made of money. However, with the recent and very tragic passing of one of our most beloved and prolific members, Kidmod-Southpaw, I feel like everybody needs cheering up.

To be in with the chance of winning a brand new, unused Cherry G80-1800 compact keyboard (details below), you simply need to make a post in this thread before 13:00 on Saturday 20th September. That's only 3 days time.

They keyboard the winner will receive is a Professional Cherry G80-1800LPCGB-0. This features a compact UK layout without scrimping on any keys, Lasered PBT keycaps, MX black switches, and a USB connector (with PS/2 adaptor).

The rules:
1. You need to have been registered on Bit-tech for at least a month.
2. You need to have a minimum of 75 posts as of now.
3. You need to live in the UK, or be willing to assist with the additional cost of shipping to your home country.
4. You have to post a pic of the keyboard with the rig you intend to use it on.
5. If you plan to re-sell the keyboard (because let's face it it's worth a fair bit) you are morally bound to donate half the proceeds to charity. Also, you're a git.
6. If this thread descends into general discussion about mechanical keyboards or crudeness, I'm OK with that.
7. The competition is open to moderators, staff and normal users.
8. The winner will be selected at some point on Saturday afternoon using a random number generator.

I'd like that very much, yes. It's a beautiful typing experience.

I'd also add that for those who don't want to enter the competition but want to support the cause, please bung a fiver here.

That's the spirit! Plus, this is one of the more unusual models, and had the added benefit of being new. I don't think I've ever used a new Cherry board before!
