RiP Harold, I enjoyed a lot of your films both as a director and as an actor.

Ghostbusters was such a huge film for me as a kid. So sad he's gone. I alway's hoped a third film would have been made lol. RIP Egon

And me. Apart from being fun with particle beam weapons, it had a strong video game appeal (you go around hunting ghosts and blasting/capturing them. The parallels seem obvious!). In fact there was a pretty decent 8-bit computer game made based on the film.

This was a time when home computers had just started coming onto the market in the wake of video game consoles. They were the days of the ZX81 and the Spectrum, the Commodore VIC20 and C64; the Atari 400XL and BBC Micro. Awesome times. That film always reminds me of them.

    I think I have a copy on my C64 emulator. I think I'm a closet retro-game junkie.

Ghostbusters used to scare me so bad as a young kid. 80's were the golden years.
