Graphics Gigabyte GTX580 - Just received, what to DL?

Hey all,

I've just received a GTX580 Gigabyte, model; GV-N580D5-15I-B.
I was wondering what is recommended to download to monitor it,
OC it, and the best drivers (if any in particular) should be downloaded. Nvidias own ones or are there others that are better?

I've not had nvidia in a looong time, so i'm not sure what the best
set up is for them! Anything I should ensure is on/off etc as
soon as I have it installed and running?

I'm using the latest Nvidia beta drivers and they're great, no probs.

Also it's hard to beat MSI Afterburner for monitoring and overclocking, although Gigabyte OC Guru is pretty nice too. I use one or the other, usually OC Guru for gaming and Afterburner for benching.

 

Latest Nvidia Forceware drivers (Beta or WHQL, your choice) as far as drivers go, There's not much in the way of 3rd party drivers, AFAIK.

For monitoring; personally I use Afterburner and the Display server for that (Basically Fraps, but free, doesn't lag the game, will save to Jpeg and doesn't use size 100 text for the FPS? yes please!)

Plus if you get bored; you can Overclock the balls off the card with Afterburner too.
