Right, time to engage in everyone's favourite activity, spending someone else's money! I've been after a wallet to store my wads of cash (har har har) for a while now. I can't seem to find something, so I thought I would ask the membership to come up with some ideas. The following are important: Must have somewhere to store the shrapnel that the lassie gives you down the shops. Should be be able to take a few cards. My job involves a lot of travelling, so maybe snake/alligator skin might have to be given a miss so I can get through customs. I wouldn't like it to fall apart on me in some strange backwater, so nice and hard wearing would be good. It either needs to be quite classy or expedition rugged. If peli cases made a wallet, I wouldn't be searching for one! Not adverse to different materials, but unusual leathers might pose a bit of a problem through customs and the like. Any ideas gents? I love my wallet, had it for 3 years and it has minimal signs of wear: Mine has no coin purse which makes it lovely and small but they do do one with a coin purse: http://www.freitag.ch/Fundamentals/Wallets/E-T-/p/ZH_35742 They are made from the same material as the sides of HGV's and will last a life time. Oh and I have never seen anyone else with one!
all my wallets are non coin friendly as I have it usually in the back pocket.. my cards usually adopt the rotund shape of my ass though within a few months..
My current one is a Haynes wallet bought by the Mrs. The design has worn off, but it's wearing extremely well so far.
I've got this: Except the Diesel is just one colour, not different. Only had it about 6 days now though, so can't comment on the durability.
I'm either going to be getting one of my Grandad's old leather wallets which I love or a very hard wearing fossil wallet which will match my watch!
As long as it says "Slayer" on it, it rules... I don't even know what brand mine is, the coin purse is abyssmally small, there are too few card slots, but hell... it says "Slayer" on it, and I love it for that...
I've had my Fossil Bi-fold (because bi-folds are better) for around 7 years. There is some slight wear on the corners but I'm sure it will last me another 5 years.
Oakley tri fold yellow faux carbon for me, had it years would love to replace it but they've discontinued I think. In back left pocket attached to me via a chain
Back left/right pocket or GTFO tbh! I keep mine in my back right because I'm a lefty and awkward The front left pocket is for one's mobile telephone and the front right pocket is for one's keys and loose change, and not that anyone cares, but I usually carry my glasses/case around in my back left pocket I use an Emporio Armani one - It's this exact one. I've had it for years - probably more than 5 at this point - and it stands up to being sat down on all the time very well
I like this thread. I am on the lookout for the exact same type of wallet that EnterObsidian is on the lookout for. I cannot understand how you people can have your change in your pockets, does it not fall out when you sit on a chair? And as for the placement of stuff. Phone is front left as I'm a lefty, keys, carkeys, USB drive and assorted stuff is front right, and wallet is back left. I only use back-right when I play golf for my score-card.
